Recurrence Reasons

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

RECURRENCE REASONS can be configured to create fast repetitive appointments in the APPOINTMENT SCHEDULER that are not associated to patients such as "Admin Time" or "Lunch".

RECURRENCE REASONS allows users to configure a recurrence reason and associate them to types of APPOINTMENT REASONS (if any) and specify the default times associated to the RECURRENCE REASON. For example, a RECURRENCE REASON "Lunch" can be created with a default time of "60 min" to allow for quick creation of lunch slots on the appointment scheduler. Or a RECURRENCE REASON "Admin Time" can be created and associated with an APPOINTMENT REASON "Administration"

Use the ADD button to add a new RECURRENCE REASON or CHANGE to edit an existing one.

The screen prompts are:

RECURRENCE REASON - Enter a name for this recurrence reason.

APPOINTMENT REASON - Select an automatic appointment to be used when this recurrence reason is selected. If left blank, when creating a recurring appointment the user will be able to select any appointment reason that is available for the selected specialist (if your clinic has made APPOINTMENT REASON a mandatory field, users will be forced to select an APPOINTMENT REASON on a recurring appointment.)

LENGTH - The default time for the previously selected appointment reason will populate here. However this can be edited to any length of time as needed.

INACTIVE - Check this box to make this RECURRENCE REASON inactive and to make it no longer selectable on a recurring appointment in the future.

To delete an existing RECURRENCE REASON, highlight the reason and press DELETE.

Click SAVE to commit your changes.

Click EXIT to leave the screen and return to the previous window.
