Create Inventory Count Sheets

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Creating an Inventory Count Sheet facilitates a starting point for completing a location Inventory Stock Take. This function prints a 'Stock Take' form that compares the current inventory (currently recorded in Manage) for a specific location to a manually performed Stock Take by a user. A user will manually record the inventory counts on this report that will be later input into the Update Inventory Count Sheets (INVENTORY > STOCK TAKE OPTIONS > UPDATE INVENTORY COUNT SHEETS.) It is important to note that the Create Inventory Count Sheets can only be run for one location at a time.  Users cannot update inventory counts or post any updates to inventory counts until the Create Inventory Count Sheets is performed.

The screen prompts are:

LOCATION - Select the location for which the Create Inventory Count Sheet is to be run.

CATEGORY SELECTION - Select ALL if creating count sheets for all categories. Select SINGLE to create a count sheet for a single category and then select that category in the next selection field. Select SELECT if you wish to create a count sheet for multiple categories, but not all categories.

CATEGORY - To run the Count Sheets for a specific category, select the category.

COUNT DATE - Enter the date of this stock count.

INCLUDE 0 ON HAND ITEMS - Select this in order to include items on this count sheet that currently have zero quantity in Manage.

The "Inventory Count Sheet" will print. Users will need to manually add their actual inventory counts to the report and note the PAGE NUMBER at the upper right. This page number is important because users need to make adjustments to inventory counts later using this same page number.

To re-print the Inventory Count Sheet, it is advisable to use the RE-PRINT INVENTORY COUNT SHEETS as opposed to running this menu option again.
