The Product Inquiry tool is a quick way to retrieve information on a product, without being able to go into the original product file itself. It allows users who are given access to this inquiry to see product information, but not edit or change products, costs or quantity.
When entering the screen, the fields are blank. Type in or search for the product in the PRODUCT NUMBER field. (Note:If using a bar code scanner, scan the bar code while the cursor is in this field. The associated product number to the scanned bar code will populate. (Note: when using a scanning device, make sure the device setting "carriage return" or "line feed" has been turned ON. This allows the assumption of the ENTER KEY to be applied after scanning a bar code.)
