Patient Attachment Categories can be designed to organize the various types of patient attachments stored to a patient file. After attachment categories have been created, users can decide which category an attachment belongs to at the point of uploading the attachment to the patient file. Any attachment category can also be configured as containing "Sensitive Information" which means only users who have "Sensitive Information" permissions are allowed to see or edit the attachment.
To add a new attachment category, click the ADD icon.
The screen prompts are:
ID - Give this attachment category a unique ID.
CATEGORY NAME - Enter a Category name for this category of attachments.

Permissions for Users to access "Sensitive Information" can be granted via Security Roles (CONFIGURE SYSTEM SETTINGS > SYSTEM > SECURITY ROLES) by checking "ACCESS TO SENSITIVE DATA" under PERMISSIONS.
INACTIVE - Check this field if this attachment category is no longer applicable for users adding new attachments.
