A Clinic Parameter in the software allows the option to Void HSP Claims. (To confirm whether you have this functionality, please contact Simply Hearing Software Inc. (Client Services Department)
Once an HSP Claim has been posted (or run through the Daily Close process), only non-posting related information can be changed. If a change to an HSP Claim requires a posting impact, then the user will need to void the HSP Claim. An HSP Claim can only be voided after it has been posted (or run through the Daily Close process) and only if it has not be sent via an E-Claim yet (unless you uncheck SENT at the bottom left.)
When reviewing an HSP Claim that has not been sent to HSP and has been processed through the Daily Close, a new VOID CLAIM button will appear at the top of the screen.
Pushing the VOID CLAIM button will automatically generate a reversal claim that backs out of all postings using the current system date. This reversal claim cannot be changed and the original claim can no longer be edited. Instead a new automatically generated claim containing all the original information will be displayed and can be edited.
When reviewing the new editable claim, a DOCUMENT HISTORY icon can be used to view the documents related to this claim.
Highlighting a document and clicking the DETAILS button will show a preview of the original claim, the automatically generated reversal claim that was created when the claim was voided, or the new claim (whichever is selected.)
