A list of HSP Items is available for maintaining. To add new HSP Items, click ADD. To edit an existing HSP Item, highlight the selected item and use the CHANGE or DELETE icons.
**NOTE that this HSP Items can be associated to HSP VALIDATION RULES within HSP Parameters. Validation rules can be set up that ensure that the right item number is being used in the correct way on a claim and respecting if a patient is flagged Monaural or Binaural.
Users will not be able to DELETE an HSP Item that has been used on an invoice or if it is associated to an HSP Validation Rule within HSP Parameter. Instead, to remove an HSP Item from selection options, click INACTIVE to the right of the item.
The screen prompts are:
ITEM - Enter the Item Number for this HSP Item.
DESCRIPTION - Enter a Description for this HSP Item.
AMOUNT - Enter the price for this HSP Item.
G.S.T. - If applicable, enter the GST amount to be added to this HSP Item.
TOTAL - Enter the total including GST applicable for this HSP Item.
CATEGORY - From the drop down list, select the Category in which this HSP Item belongs.
TYPE - Select whether this HSP Item is a Fitting (F) or Non-Fitting (N) item. This will allow HSP Items to be applied to the correct area of the HSP Claim. It will also allow the HSP Wizard to display the correct HSP Items based on Claim Type (Non-Fitting or Fitting.)
INACTIVE - Check this box to inactivate this product and ensure that it can no longer be selected on an HSP Claim.
Pressing the EXPAND/CONTRACT icon will display more information fields:
There is an EFFECTIVE DATE field which allows users to enter a new amount (price) for an item and the effective date for that price change.
If APPOINTMENT HISTORY is checked, upon adding this HSP Item to an HSP Claim, the system will allow the user to view and select an appointment from the patient's appointment history to associate to the HSP Claim. The appointment chosen will determine the date used on the detail line for this HSP Item.
The date of a document will determine which price should be used. When (the user determines) it is time to refresh the prices, there is an icon at the top of this screen (in the DARK GREY menu bar at the top left.) This REFRESH icon will copy the pricing with qualifying effective dates from within each items detail line. It will also move the new price into the main product detail line.
