NOAH Connect is a HISMA licensed software client that allows clinics to access their NOAH and all their NOAH Modules from within Manage.
NOAH Connect Overview
The NOAH Connect data is stored within Manage. It allows users to access their NOAH modules directly through Simply Hearing.
It is important to note that users of NOAH Connect, essentially are choosing to use NOAH Connect instead of the stand alone installation NOAH.
All modules available through Noah, are available within NOAH Connect however only Audiogram information will be accessible/viewable within Manage.
A Licence for NOAH Connect must be purchased through HIMSA and a monthly fee payable to Auditdata for NOAH Connect per location is applicable.
(Noah has system licence that can be transferred for free to engine licence for NOAH Connect.)
Installation
Installation of the NOAH Connect client must be installed on each PC where a user will need to ADD or EDIT an audiogram. Contact Auditdata to receive the installation file.
PC's where NOAH Connect has not been installed, will only be able to view audiograms captured within NOAH Connect.
Assigning Simply Hearing Users NOAH accreditation's
Each user in Manage who will access NOAH Connect will require their USER ID is associated to a Specialist when creating audiograms within Manage. Each user behind the scenes will be assigned a NOAH ID as well.
Note that NOAH Connect will not open if your user ID is blank for SPECIALIST above.
Exporting Patients and Audiograms from NOAH
How to Get Existing Patients and Audiograms out of NOAH
Creating the NHAX file in Noah (NHAX file contains patient data and audiograms)
To export your patients from NOAH, right click on a patient name and select EXPORT PATIENT(S).
A new EXPORT OPTIONS window will open, offering to export a single patient or ALL patients. Select ALL PATIENTS and USE IN ANOTHER NOAH INSTALLATION and INCLUDE FAST DATA VIEWING and press OK.
Next name the export of patients file and save it to a place on your PC where Manage can access the file.
This will create the NHAX file that will later be imported into Manage.
Importing NOAH patients and audiograms into Manage
To upload the NHAX file which contains your NOAH patient and audiogram information, go to UTILITIES > NOAH INTEGRATION > IMPORT NHAX FILE. Search for your saved NHAX file under IMPORT FILE NAME.
Once your IMPORT FILE NAME is selected, indicate whether you wish for the audiograms associated to the patients within the NHAX file should have their audiograms loaded and available in Manage. Select YES if you wish to import those Noah Audiograms into Manage. Note - you should not load audiograms into Manage if your clinic previously used the web service NOAH integration or the NOAH SYNERGY integration as it would duplicate audiograms that already appear on each patient. If the audiograms would not appear in Manage, then select YES to LOAD AUDIOGRAMS INTO Manage.
Next press CONTINUE to run the import.
The file will run and you will be presented with a NHAX USER MAPPINGS window where users recorded on the NHAX file will need to be associated to an Manage user. Simply assign a user as required.
Next press CONTINUE.
If your import was completed fully, then the message "NHAX IMPORT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED" will appear. Press OK to continue.
If the NHAX import found more then Manage patient that can be the NOAH patient, you will need to manually reconcile which Manage patient is the correct patient.
Once you click OK, the next NHAX RECONCILIATION window will open, presenting all the patients that had more then one possible match. Click the RECONCILE button to open each patient one at a time and review the patient information of each patient in Manage.
Highlight and press MATCH to link the NOAH patient to the Manage patient file. Or, select to create a NEW PATIENT file or alternatively use the SEARCH button to find a suitable match in the available Manage patients.
Once you reconcile a patient, the record will disappear from the list to be reconciled. Patients requiring reconciliation will remain in this window until they are reconciled which means users can come and go out of this screen if there are many patients to be reconciled.
Reviewing the imported/ processed NHAX report (errors)
The NOAH AUDIOGRAM INQUIRY can be used to check that all imports of patient audiograms have been uploaded into Manage correctly. The START and END date of the report can be adjusted as required and data can be reviewed under either the PENDING tab (which shows audiograms currently queued up to import into Manage) or under the ERRORS tab (which shows any failures of audiograms that were not accepted into Manage.) The ERRORS tab will show the patient, the audiogram date and the reason/error that prevented the audiogram from being imported.
Adding records to both NOAH Connect and Manage (do not do both when coming from using Noah Web Service or Synergy modules as they will already exist on the Manage patient files.)
Accessing NOAH Connect in Manage
Users can access NOAH Connect via the PATIENT INFORMATION screen using the LAUNCH NOAH icon.
When NOAH Connect has been launched, an new browser tab will open and the program will load to this patient's file in NOAH Connect. Within the task bar, users will see the NOAH Connect icon.
Users can only ever have one instance of NOAH Connect open at one time. Within NOAH Connect, all modules will be available.
