This menu option creates the export file for HCFA containing claim information for claims marked as "ready" within HCFA Claims (United States). The chosen E-Claim File Directory will appear as set up within HCFA Parameters (U.S. Only). Make note of this file path as you will need to know it for when you are uploading the file on the OFFICE ALLY website later.
To create a new export file of "ready" HCFA Claims, leave the EXPORT TRX# blank. The system will auto assign and populate a new EXPORT TRX# when it created the file.
When ready to create the file, press CONTINUE.
A results window will appear showing you the claims that are marked "ready" for submission. To select a claim for this batch file, click the SUBMIT check box at the end of each line/claim.
When all your claims have been selected, click CONTINUE.
You will be prompted to indicate YES to creating the e-claim file. Click Yes to continue.
The system will generate the file and export it to your chose file location.
A window will open asking if you wish to open or save the created file. It is advisable to SAVE the file.
The CONNECT icon will open the OFFICE ALLY website where HCFA Claims can be uploaded.
