You have the option to enter and maintain referring physicians in your database. Each Physician is assigned a unique Physician Number.
To ADD a new physician, click ADD. A new Physician Number will be assigned.
To view or change an existing physician, click CHANGE. Select the physician to view or edit from the drop-down list.
The screen prompts are:
PHYSICIANNUMBER - If adding a new Physician, the auto assigned Physician Number will appear here. If choosing to edit an existing Physician, use the drop down menu to select the Physician.
TITLE - Enter the physician's title as it is to appear on envelopes and labels. (ex: "Dr.")
FIRST NAME - Enter the physician's first name as it will appear on printed materials.
LAST NAME - Enter the physician's last name as it will appear on printed materials.
FULL NAME - Enter the physician's full name (ex: "Banks, Elizabeth" so that when searching for "Banks", it is found based on the last name.)
ADDRESS - Enter the physician's office address. Use line 2 if more space is needed.
CITY - Enter the city of the physician's office.
PROV/STATE - Enter the province or state for the physician's office.
POSTAL/ZIP - Enter the postal or zip code for the physician's office.
PHONE NUMBER - Enter the physician's main office telephone number .
EXT - Enter the physician's extension number.
FAX - Enter the area code and fax number for this physician.
EMAIL ADDRESS - Enter the physician's email address.
PHYSICIAN TYPE - Specify the type of physician. (ex: GP or ENT)
PRACTICE - Enter the Physician's Practice Name or Medical Building as applicable. (ex: "Cambridge Medical Institute").
BILLING NUMBER - Enter the physician's billing number (if applicable).
MEDICARE NUMBERS - (Australian clinics only.) Click this field to access Medicare numbers and applicable information.
Press ADD to add a new Medicare number. Press EDIT to edit any information for a specific Medicare number. Press DELETE to delete an existing Medicare number. When finished, press CONTINUE to store changes and close the window. Or press CANCEL to exit the window without storing any changes.
Envelopes or labels can be printed for physicians by clicking PRINT. Select the desired options and click PRINT.

If any changes have been made to a Physician, click SAVE to store the changes. To exit the Physician screen, press EXIT.
To export the list of Physicians currently in the database, press the EXCEL icon. (Only available to those users who belong to Security Roles (CONFIGURE SYSTEM SETTINGS > SYSTEM > SECURITY ROLES) that have permission to export Physicians.) If in Australia, Medicare information for Physicians will also be included in the Excel export.
