Appointment Types are configured in order to use the Scheduler Templates. Scheduler Templates can be configured for Clinics who wish to allocate that specific time slots during scheduled days should only be allocated to specific appointment reasons or opportunities. Creating Appointment Types must be completed first, prior to creating Scheduler Templates. (If your clinic is not using Scheduler Templates, there is no need to configure Appointment Types.)
To add a new Appointment Type, click the ADD button.
Enter the following information:
TYPE: Enter a code representing the TYPE of appointment.
DESCRIPTION: Enter the full description of the Appointment Type.
LENGTH: Enter the length of time each of the appointments associated to this Appointment Type should be.
REASONS: Select the Appointment Reasons that are permitted during this Appointment Type.
COLOR: Select a color representation of this Appointment Type for the Appointment Schedule.
INACTIVE: Check this field to make the selected record as inactive.
To edit an Appointment Type, highlight the record and click the CHANGE icon.
To delete an Appointment Type, highlight the record and click the DELETE icon.
Click SAVE to store your changes. Click EXIT to close the window.
